According to the reports of L’Equipe, the Red Devils are interested to sign Blues forward Christopher Nkunku in January. United’s two strikers have failed to impress with their performances so far this season. That is why they are looking for a talisman who can break their goal scoring drought.
Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku has caught the attention of the board. Despite of a disappointing first season with the Blues last year, the Frenchman has been sensational so far this campaign. As Nkunku has already scored a total of 8 goals in 15 games across all competitions.
However, despite of such records Nkunku is yet to become Chelsea’s first choice striker in the Premier League. He is barely getting enough minutes at the top flight. Only one out of the 8 goals came in the League campaign, while others were scored in Carabao and Conference League fixtures. If Chelsea doesn’t guarantee more minutes for the 27-year-old forward, then we could see him leave for United January.
Sancho to miss Christopher Nkunku at Chelsea
If the Frenchman leaves the club then there will be no other players at the Blues camp will be as sad as Jadon Sancho. As both of them have become good friends at London within three months. They share a close bond off the pitch.
They even shared a great memory together, when Nkunku scored the winner against Bournemouth which was assisted by Sancho himself. After the game Sancho shared a photo of the duo on social media celebrating the goal. In reply of that Nkunku said his thank you for the assist.
There is no doubt, Sancho would be sad if Nkunku leaves and it will make him sadder to know that his teammate will be leaving to join his former side Man United. The same team from where he is on loan at Chelsea after getting humiliated by the former manager. However, things can go well for Nkunku as the manager is now changed and United appointed Sporting’s Ruben Amorim, who is a great tactician.
