Tottenham accidentally sent Bentancur the Diaz contract


Recently signed Tottenham midfielder Bentancur was accidentally sent the contract offer prepared for the high profile Luis Diaz.

Tottenham recently completed the signing of Turin duo Kulusevski and Bentancur. Although the signings are a big boost, Tottenham missed their opportunity to get Diaz. Diaz snubbed spurs for Liverpool who ended the race by paying 37.5 million Euros.

Reports suggest from Portugal claim one of the contracts sent out to an eventual signing still highlighted the name of Diaz. Accordingly, the white lady would have sent Bentancur the draft contract which was intended for their original dream player Diaz. Spurs dreamt of signing the Colombian forward from FC Porto but failed with their advertising.

Gist of the matter between Bentancur and Tottenham

Despite the error and some misunderstanding among agents, the 24-year-old Bentancur eventually moved to the seventh-placed premier league side for 19 million euros plus bonuses of 6m euros. Another forward from Juventus has landed in white lady for a short spell with a purchase option of 35 million euros, Dejan Kluvsevski.

The mistake left many baffled, with it being one of a kind. However, the deadline day wasn’t that bitter after all for Tottenham. With Dele Alli’s Everton move, Lo Celso’s Villareal, Bryan Gill loan, and Ndombele moving back to Lyon different teams. It has been a busy transfer window with business coming in and going out.

Upon arrival Kulusevski said

“The Premier League has always been the league – since I was 15 I was thinking about the Premier League because that’s what we watched in Sweden, that was the best league in the world and I still think it is,”

Even after the particular mishap and irritations among the consultants, Tottenham signed Bentancur. With the loan deal of Kulusevski having a permanent option to buy, his future would be quite interesting too.
