Tottenham Hotspur plotting a move for Chelsea star this month

Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a January move for one of the newly joined Chelsea star. They are keen to improve the squad mid-season but may find it hard to land the Blues star.

Spurs are having a tough season right now with them sitting on the 15th position in the Premier League. They have won just 7 out of 22 games. They will need significant change in the second half of the season.

The bad form of Spurs is directly linked with the amount of injuries this season. As of now, they have 11 first team players on the sidelines. Out of these, 3 are defenders which has made this weak in the back.

Tottenham Hotspur plotting move for Chelsea defender

According to CaughtOffside, Spurs are plotting a january move for Tosin Adarabioyo. The 27 year old joined the Blues in summer for free but is very quickly been linked with exit. Adarabioyo has a vast experience in Premier League and can do a decent job for Tottenham.

However, Spurs may struggle to sign the 27 year old this month. Enzo Maresca admires Adarabioyo whose role at West London has increased recently. Due to injuries to Fofana and Badiashile, the 27 year old is getting extra game time than the first half of the season.

Along with injuries, 2 more defenders – Disasi and Veiga are linked with exits. This will make Adarabioyo untouchable atleast until end of the season. But, the Blues may still opt to sell the 27 year old for a fair fee as they need to generate funds to comply with PSR and go after world-class defenders.

As for Spurs, they need to hurry their process in transfer market. The final days of window have arrived and the North London club can’t end the window without making some key signings.
