Reports indicate Tottenham one step closer to signing one of their target winger after the revelation of the preferences.
The transfer market is active right now and Spurs are trying their best to improve their squad. The side recently signed Archie Gray in their efforts to give a more competitive season this time.
Tottenham recently signed the English youngster from Leeds United marking their third signing this summer. The other two include Lucas Bergvall and Timo Werner.
Although Werner has returned on loan Ange Postecoglou is still eyeing for more explosive options at the front. The Aussie is looking to improve with the problem of forwards and wide areas affecting their last season.
Further, injuries to the likes of Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic also only increased the problem. Now the latter is leaving the side too on a free transfer.
Bryan Gil is also taking the bus out. The Spaniard didn’t get to put in that much play time last season only 233 minutes).
Although Spurs continues to be linked with young talents like Désiré Doué and Spanish winger Nico Williams they might now have a new big opportunity at hand. The ‘Champion ‘electric’ winger is believed to be already on target of the Postecoglou-led side.
Tottenham target winger moving to Premier League
Transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano has provided some insights on Hull City winger Jaden Philogene. The latter is said to be making a move soon – one that the Spurs side will love.
Philogne was earlier linked with a possible move to Barcelona. However, the latest report tells the English winger might be eyeing a spot in the Premier League rather.
This news should be music to the ears of Spurs but not only them. The side will face competition for the Englishman from fellow clubs like Crystal Palace, Everton, and Ipswich Town.
All three clubs have already sent out their proposals to the 22-year-old after Barca’s efforts to get the winger on a season-long loan.
Tottenham signing Philogene still a possibility
Last week only reports came in sighting Spurs’ interest in signing Philogene this summer regardless of the interest from Barcelona.
Now that the Spanish club is out of the way, Spurs’ chances have increased given Postecoglou can land a proper deal.
Jaden Philogene had a phenomenal season with Hull last season after the transfer from Aston Villa. The Englishman gave 18 goal contributions in 32 appearances.
Called an ‘electric’ winger, the young talent is all set to leave the MKM Stadium this summer. And with Tottenham already showing interest in the winger, the transfer is a possibility.
Spurs have already acquired one of the greatest talents in the Championship by signing Gray. Now the Lilywhites look to add one of the top performers in England’s tier 2.
