Tottenham manager Antonio Conte continues to praise his talisman Kane

Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur now has the Premier League’s leading attack thanks to Antonio Conte’s rejuvenation of Harry Kane.

Tottenham’s attacking improvements in recent weeks have been led by Antonio Conte and Harry Kane with the club amassing some impressive attacking figures.

How Conte turned Kane into the best player in the world right now

Over the last couple of seasons, the England captain has been the master at both positions for Spurs, scoring goals at his usual rate while also being his team’s most creative player when he drops deep.

Kane has 233 goals in 368 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions.

He is fifth all-time in Premier League goalscoring, 30 behind Wayne Rooney in second, whom Kane will undoubtedly surpass in the next 18 months at Spurs.

A key factor behind his upturn in form has been the attack which has been the most dangerous across the whole division during the past six game weeks.

That’s a point captured by the fact that Spurs have netted a league-high 24 goals during that period.

The next highest scorers in this time were Liverpool with just 16, eight fewer than Tottenham.

So, when tallying who is the best player in the world right now

Kane should not lose points for playing outside the elite.

He should gain to do what he is doing at a club fighting for a Champions League spot most seasons is extraordinary.

Harry Kane remains an elite striker, his impact extends far beyond the goals he scores. By title, he is still a striker, but he is also a facilitator and creator for those around him.

Conte is well aware of this, and he clearly appreciates it. However, Kane and everyone associated with Tottenham should be just as grateful to Conte in return.

Only six weeks ago, the 52-year-old was criticizing himself and his influence at the club.

He has impressively transformed Spurs into one of the division’s most dangerous attacking outfits by getting the best out of the squad’s top stars.
