Man United are desperate to sign one Premier League star this summer. The player recently registered 28 goal involvements. But, Tottenham Hotspur are now trying to hijack the deal.
Man United are keen to improve their attack this summer. They are open to sell many of the current players. Firstly, both strikers – Hojlund and Zirkzee will be sold. Then all 3 loaned players – Sancho, Rashford and Antony will be moved-on. Lastly, the club will also sell Garnacho to raise funds.
As far as incomings are concerned, United have signed Matheus Cunha. They have paid £62.5 million to Wolves. Now, the club is focused on another striker and winger. As for striker, they have Viktor Gyokeres as the top target. On the other hand, they are keen to sign Mbeumo as winger.
Bryan Mbeumo recently scored 20 goals and picked 8 assists for Brentford. The 25 year old is open to leaving Brentford and has agreed personal terms with United. The Red Devils submitted first offer which was rejected by the Bees. They are open to sell him for right offer.
United are unwilling to give up on Mbeumo. Hence, they are likely to return with second offer. They Red Devils are now offering £50 million + £10 million in add-ons. Amidst this transfer saga, Tottenham has entered and are planning to hijack United’s deal for Mbeumo.
Tottenham Hotspur willing to sign Mbeumo
According to Caught Offside, Spurs have started to show interest in Mbeumo. They have recently sacked Ange Postecoglou as a manager despite winning Europa League. They are reported to replace him with Brentford manager Thomas Frank.
Thomas Frank has a very good relationship with Mbeumo. Spurs are looking to take advantage of this situation and sign the 25 year old. But, it will not push United away from being the favourites to sign Mbeumo. The 25 year old has made United his to priority for the summer.
