Tottenham Hotspur keen to sign Chelsea star
According to Football Insider, Spurs are showing interest in Renato Veiga. They are plotting a £30 million offer to sign him this summer. Veiga is already away from Stamford Bridge on loan. Hence, the Blues are likely to sanction his sale after signing him just a year ago.
Veiga is currently at Juventus on loan. He played 18 games for Chelsea in the first half of the season. But, most of his appearances came from the bench. In addition, he has to play as left-back in order to receive game-time. This made him to ask for a move away from Stamford Bridge in January.
Veiga can plays in variety of positions but he prefers to play as centre-back. Spurs are keen to sign some quality defenders this summer due to the tough current season. Veiga is only 21 years old and can be seen as long-term investment. It will be interesting to see if Spurs are able to land him this summer.
