PREMIER LEAGUE

Tough challenges waits ahead of new manager Ruben Amorim

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has every right to be pleased with his start. Winning two and drawing one of his first three games in charge. Though his first game in charge finished in a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town. But Amorim tasted success as United manager for the first time four days later. When Bodo/Glimt visited Old Trafford in the Europa League and the match ended in a 3-2 score line in favor of the Red Devils.

He then had the satisfaction of winning handsomely on Sunday again. As his men defeated Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford. It was their largest margin of victory in the Premier League in more than three years. But Ipswich, Bodo/Glimt, and Everton should not be difficult opponents for Amorim. However, United have already learned that nothing is given and they must execute their best to win games.

Ruben Amorim can bring the vibe which ETH failed to do

However, the real challenges are heading towards Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese will play Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night. It will be his first difficult game for him. After a brief setback due to injuries, the Gunners have recently recovered their form. They have scored ten goals in their previous two games to defeat both Sporting Lisbon and West Ham United.

In the past 5 years, Arsenal have got the better of the Red Devils. They have lost all of their last 3 visits to the Emirates. And also are winless there since 2019. Under the previous manager Erik Ten Hag, United have lost both of their visits to North London.

As per the reports of Manchester Evening, throughout ETH’s stay at Manchester, he has struggled win against the Big 6’s of the Premier League. And if Ruben Amorim manages to grab all the three points against Arsenal this week that too away from home, then it would surely boost the confidence of the club.

Author’s opinion :

Ruben Amorim is an excellent manager. We can already see the difference in the side within just two-three weeks of his arrival. The next 4 weeks will be vital for the Portuguese manager. As United will be facing Arsenal, City and Tottenham (EFL) during this period. Amorim will be looking forward to leave positive remarks in these fixtures.
