Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez has urged Two club leaders to offer new deals to current club captains Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets. Xavi, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time, believes that both players are vital to the success of the club and should be kept at Camp Nou for as long as possible.
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper Marca, Xavi said,
“Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets are two of the most important players in the history of the club. They are the heart and soul of the team, and they need to be at Barcelona for as long as possible.”
He went on to say,
“I hope that the club can reach an agreement with both players to extend their contracts. They are two of the best in the world, and they deserve to be at the club for many more years.”

What did Two club leaders say?
It is believed that Barcelona has already made contact with Two club leaders regarding new deals. Messi, who has been with the club since he was 13 years old, is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou. Busquets, on the other hand, has just over a year left on his current contract and has been linked with a move to Manchester City.
Xavi’s comments come after a difficult period for the club, Two club leaders which has seen them go through a number of changes in recent years. The club has struggled on the field, and off the field, they have had to deal with financial difficulties and a revolving door of managers. However, Xavi believes that keeping Messi and Busquets at the club will be a step in the right direction for the club.

He has also won numerous individual awards, including 7 Ballon d’Or titles. Busquets, on the other hand, has won 8 La Liga titles, 7 Copa del Rey, and 3 Champions League titles with the club. He has also been an integral part of the Spanish national team that won the 2010 World Cup and the 2008 and 2012 European Championships.
