Virgil Van Dijk and Mohammed Salah’s contracts were already about to expire as well. There were various reports already which said that Salah was also going to leave Liverpool by the end of the season already. It was said that there are rumours about him getting offers from Saudi League teams too. The fans however had full faith in Liverpool extending Mohammed Salah’s contract.

Virgil Van Dijk is the other Liverpool legend whose contract was about to end too. He also used to deny any claims about him leaving Liverpool. The player also used to deny any claims about him joining a different team either. There were rumours about Paris Saint Germain trying to sign him as well. However, Paris Saint Germain only wanted to sign young players. There were talks and they were looking to make an exception as well. This is because someone in the likes of Virgil Van Dijk is known to be too good for any team no matter the age. However, the talks did not really go through anyway. He has extended his contract with Liverpool.

I think Mohammed Salah has the ability to perform in the highest level anyway. For Liverpool, he gets the edge for the team. He performs well for Liverpool since the day he joined them. Even at this age, his performances did not go down at all. He is still performing so good at the highest level as well. Virgil Van Dijk is also good for Liverpool no matter his age. It is good that both of them extended their contracts with Liverpool.
