This years UEFA Champions League (UCL) will be different from previous years for Arsenal as well as for other teams. Arsenal is ready to take on in new upcoming Champions league format. This new format will give a new life to the champions league. Major reason why these changes were proposed is due to its predictability. Teams were playing with same clubs again and again. Lets Look how Arsenal fixtures look likes.
UCL New Format : Arsenal Champions League Fixtures.
Paris Saint Germain (Home) : Arsenal will kick off their new (UCL) Champions League campaign against PSG. They will be the host for the game. Fixture will take place at Emirates Stadium.
Inter Milan (Away) : Soon after the game at Emirates Stadium Arsenal squad will travel to San-Siro. This will be an away game for Arsenal.
Shakhtar Donetsk (Home) : Emirates stadium will hold the fixture of Shakhtar vs Arsenal game. An easy win is predicted here. Though Shakhtar will give tough fight.
Atalanta (Away) : This game is going to be interesting one. Atalanta have always showed that they keep the capability to outclass any team in their home turf. This match will be a tactical watch.
GNK Dinamo (Home) : It will be a great experience for GNK to compete Arsenal in this UCL fixture. Easy win is predicted here. Dinamo can challenge them in the starting phase.
Sporting CP (Away) : Tactical dominance will decide the fate of this game. Portuguese side Sporting CP is never an easy to play additionally they are playing at home which will give them additional advantage. Arsenal can face a draw in this game.
Monaco (Home) : Arsenal will host Monaca at Emirates Stadium in this UCL fixture. Monaco is a great team who just won Gamper trophy at FC Barcelona’s turf. You can imagine what this team is capable of doing. Arsenal have to be strong while defending their counter attacks.
Girona (Away) : Girona the Spanish side is featuring for the first time in UCL. Thanks to the phenomenal performance of Girona in their respective league La Liga. Arsenal travelling to Girona will be a great match to see. Both teams got the potential to outclass each other.
Arsenal League Stage Prediction
With mixture of teams it is clearly visible the top 8 spot for Arsenal will be a bit difficult. Arsenal have to perform at the same level they are doing it in the Premier League. Arsenal last UCL season was also far from satisfactory. This time they will be able to enter the top 16. It is not clear that they will directly qualify. They have to go through the play-offs. Play-offs will be played between teams ranked 9th to 24th.
