Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic is under scrutiny by the Italian media after a disappointing display in recent times.

The 22-year-old joined Bianconeri in January from Fiorentina for around £66 million. The Serbian started his life in Turin brilliantly by scoring in his debut. And putting his name on the scoresheet in his Champions League debut.

However, things started to go south for the youngster as he failed to put his name on the scoresheet for four games in a row. And following a disappointing display against Sassuolo. The Italian media were critical of the youngster’s performance.

Gazzetta rated the performance of Vlahovic for Juventus against Sassuolo only five. And stated a few harsh words about the youngster’s display. The Italian outlet stated(via HITC):

“Where did Vlahovic go? Could he have suddenly forgotten how to play the centre forward? Certainly, the latest performances have been worrying, between frantic movements, blatant falls without being fouled and a couple of bad or not successful shots, suggesting a technical involution.”

Is Vlahovic struggling to settle down in January?

It was a bit harsh to comment on those words about a young striker. After going blank in four games in a row. The Serbian has scored in the last two consecutive games against Inter and Lazio

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old has scored nine goals in his first 20 games in all competitions for the Bianconeri. So, although it might not be as impressive as he was displaying for Fiorentina. This is good enough for a youngster who just joined a club like the Old Lady of Turin’s stature.

Therefore, it is a decent enough start to the life for Juventus by Dusan Vlahovic. And the youngster needs to keep on working hard. And reflect on the matchday in order to reach his full potential. The 22-year-old is a great signing for the Bianconeri. And the Serbian will provide his worth with time.
