West ham United Pursue Gianluca Scamacca

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

West Ham United have been Pursuing Gianluca Scamacca for quite some time now. The Hammers are big fans of the forward. They are willing to offer a big sum to land the attacker in England.

West Ham have kept him as the primary striker target to give competition to Michel Antonio. Antonio has been running the Hammer’s attack for a long time now. David Moyes has been adamant about getting a quality striker as a backup.

Reportedly, the 23-year-old is most probably the main target of David Moyes and his team that they have in this transfer window. But the signing won’t be easy. French Giants Paris Saint Germain have been scouting Scamacca for a long time now and are looking to lure him away from the Hammers.

West Ham Submit €40 million bid for Scamacca

PSG initially offered a sum of €35 million for Scamacca. The French Champions were not willing to increase the offer on a backup striker. And it turned out that West Ham have leapfrogged them in the race to sign the 23-year-old. Because they have put an offer of €40m on the table which is unmatched by any club.

But it will also depend on Scamacca’s wish. The Hammers might have to do some hard work as Scamacca does not have West Ham as a preference. David Moyes would offer him a starting position and he would keep himself on the national team. This way he will be guaranteed playing time which is important for him. But, a move to PSG is said to be a dream.

But for that, PSG will have to raise their current offer in order to outdo West Ham. Otherwise, Scamacca may very well be on his way to England.
