Gomes joined Wolves in January 2023 from Brazilian club Flamengo. He hasso far played 70 games for English club and has topped it with 5 goals and 2 assists. He is tied to Wolves with a contract running until 2028 and the club also has an option the extend for one more year.

Joao Gomes to leave Wolves for bigger English club?

According to The Sun, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are showing interest in Joao Gomes. The player is highly rated by his current club as he is currently their regular starter. His current market value is €40 million and hence any interested party will need to pay a lot more than that considering his young age.

Man United will be in desperate need to sign midfielders this year. They are in transition phase and will part ways with many of their current players. As of now, Casemiro and Eriksen are both linked with exits.

In addition, there are rumours that Kobbie Mainoo may move away from Old Trafford. This will open up big space and Gomes can be a perfect addition to the squad. He is young and has vast experience of playing in Premier League.

Arsenal are in similar situation as that of United. Two of their main players – Thomas Partey and Jorginho are set to leave the club after the end of the season. They both play in the same area and hence there will be huge void left after their departure.

Lastly, Liverpool are in better condition than both Gunners and Red Devils. However, they are constantly linked with move for midfielders. Gomes can be a good option for them due to his versatality, age and experience.
