According to The Sun, United are linked with former Arsenal keeper Aaron Ramsdale. They are amongst the multiple clubs showing interest in the 26 year old Englishman. The player has a release clause in his contract that will be activated if Southampton get relegated.
Ramsdale joined Southampton last summer after losing his spot as regular starter to David Raya. He has played 24 games in Premier League this season and has made 105 saves. He has saved 2 penalties and has kept 2 clean sheets to display his quality.
However, Southampton have struggled to stay consistent this season. They are currently at the bottom of points table and are already relegated. They have 10 points which is 25 less than the club who is just above the relegation zone.
Ramsdale can be a good addition to the United squad. It will also be a good move for the player as he will be able to stay in the Premier League. It will be interesting to see if United make moves for him in the upcoming days.
