Chelsea are desperate to sign a French star this summer. The player currently plays for Italian giants. The Blues are in direct contact with the Serie A club to complete the signing.
Chelsea have been very busy in the summer transfer window. They have signed Liam Delap and now are planning to sign some more top stars. One position which has always been topic of interest in goalkeeping.
Robert Sanchez has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge. He will be moved-on this summer. On the other hand, Filip Jorgensen is very young and can’t be trusted with starting role just yet. Hence, a new keeper is amongst the top priorities.
The Blues have been showing interest in world class Serie A keeper. He is Mike Maignan who plays for AC Milan. He will be out of contract next summer and has opted against signing new contract. Maignan has told Milan that he wants to move away this summer.
Milan are ready to let Maignan leave to avoid losing him for free. The player has interest from multiple clubs due to his steller performances for club and country. But, he is reported to have agreed personal terms with Chelsea and is keen to join them this summer.
Chelsea again in talks with AC Milan for Maignan
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are again in talks with AC Milan for Mike Maignan. They are discussing the terms of the deal with Maignan pushing for the deal. Despite interest from player himself, the final decision is up to the clubs.
Chelsea are keen to get the deal done before tomorrow’s deadline. They want the player for Club World Cup. But, the clubs are finding it hard to agree on transfer fee. The Blues were open to pay €15 million but Milan want more.
