Bayern Munich are showing interest in 2 Chelsea stars this summer. One is attacker while other is defender. Both players are highly versatile and will cost the German giants a combined total of £65 million.
Chelsea are likely to step up their selling business in the coming days. They will want to open up space and raise funds. The Blues have earned a lot from Club World Cup but still want to earn more. This will help them to comply with PSR after being already fined by UEFA.
Bayern Munich showing interest in 2 Chelsea stars
Chelsea have made many stars available in the transfer market. Some are finding it hard to get into starting lineup and are forcing away move. On the other hand, some are not in Enzo Maresca’s plans and hence are going to be sold. Two of such players are wanted by Bayern.
Firstly, the Bundesliga champions hold long-term interest in Christopher Nkunku. They wanted to sign him in January itself but failed to do so. The Blues are now ready to let Nkunku leave and he is open to join Bayern. But, he has interest from multiple other clubs too.
Bayern are keen to bring Nkunku back due to his superb form in Germany while playing for Leipzig. Chelsea are ready to let Nkunku leave for £35 million. They are ready to accept £17 million lost on him as he costed them £52 million.
The second player on Bayern’s radar is Renato Veiga. The Portugese defender has fallen out of favour at West London. He was already sent on loan to Juventus in January. According to BILD, Bayern are keen to sign him along with Nkunku this summer.
The German giants view Veiga as replacement for Kim Min-Jae. The Korean defender is said to leave Bayern this summer with multiple clubs showing interest. Chelsea are demanding around £30 million for Veiga. Hence, Bayern will have to spend a combined £65 million on both Veiga and Nkunku.
