Chelsea didn’t just lift the Club World Cup — they stitched history to their chest.
The Blues will now have the FIFA World Champions badge on their shirts for the next four years, following their 2025 FIFA Club World Cup victory in the United States over Paris Saint-Germain in the final.
FIFA have announced that Chelsea, due to the new four-year cycle of the tournament, will keep the badge until 2029.
FIFA Confirms Extended Badge Honour Until 2029
The badge, which was introduced on kits for a mere 12 months, will remain on them for four full seasons. This comes after FIFA expanded the Club World Cup — which is played every four years — to a 32-team competition
The win was Chelsea’s first Club World Cup crown under the new format. In that, they’ve won the rare chance to strut their stuff as global supremacy until the next edition in 2029.
The revamped format not only gives Chelsea an enhanced global prestige, but offers significant commercial potential, too. Worn on official merchandise, kit launches and special edition product, the club badge provides fans with a collectible piece of the club, whilst uniting them with players on the pitch at home and around the world.
Chelsea Get Premier League Nod for Full-Time Badge Use
The badge will be present on Chelsea’s home, away, and third kits from the 2025/26 season. It is in the circular style, features the Club World Cup trophy and is gold-on-white or white-on-gold – depending on kit colours.
Tiffany & Co. partnered with FIFA to design the badge, a mix of luxury and legacy.
Where Liverpool in 2019 were only allowed to wear it once due to Premier League rules, Chelsea have been given a complete thumbs up to have it for all competitions.
From Stamford Bridge to Tokyo, that badge is here to stay — big, bold, gold, world-class till 2029.
