How new Arsenal signing Noni Madueke feels about fans’ criticism following viral petition.
Remaining Quite Amidst the Noise
Noni Madueke’s transfer to Arsenal has created a lot of noise this window. That is especially considering a viral petition from Gunners fans that urged the club to not sign the Chelsea player while getting over 5,000 signatures.
That kind of response could easily affect a new player. But, it hasn’t had any effect on the winger. As per The Athletic, Madueke uses the criticism as inspiration to prove people wrong. His career is progressed but he is not backing down.
The winger sees it as a moment to change minds, win over doubters. He wants to earn respect by working hard. That attitude alone might already win him some fans, even before he kicks a ball for the North London side.
Arsenal Boss Arteta has Full Faith in Madueke
Arsenalâs head coach Mikel Arteta has fully backed Maduekeâs talent. The boss called him âexciting and powerfulâ in a quote provided on the clubâs website. That is very high praise and itâs no wonder Madueke seems so motivated.
Though, he may not be starting ahead of Arsenalâs own Bukayo Saka on the right. But, Maduekeâs ability to play on the left gives him opportunities there. This is particularly given Martinelli and Trossard have had not so good runs thus far.
Madueke looked to have special talent during years with Chelsea football club. But, he never found his top level. Now at Arsenal, he will have an opportunity at a fresh start. If he can ultimately stay fit, and focus, he can shape into one of the summerâs more surprising success stories.
Itâs very early to be too optimistic but Maduekeâs mentality is what makes him different. And he has Arteta’ support at the beginning of his career with the Gunners. This gives a seed of hope even for those that may have been doubting the move.
