Man United have PSG star Kolo Muani as next big target. The Red Devils have now set their sights on a new name to solve their attacking woes.
United Turn to PSG for Firepower
Manchester United are reportedly eyeing PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani, as per Gazzetta dello Sport.
After last season’s struggles, the Red Devils need a goal scorer they can rely on. Kolo Muani had a successful loan at Juventus with eight goals in 16 Serie A games. So, he now is on Man Utd’s radar. Juve still want the player, but that’s if they can afford him. That gives Amorim’s side a window to swoop in.
PSG paid nearly €90m for him last year. They are now ready to sell for a much lower price in the region of £35-39m. It’s a tempting deal for Utd, who are actively clearing space in their squad. They are moving on from players like Antony, Sancho, and possibly Garnacho.
Man Utd Chase New No. 9
Red Devils’ goal drought last season was tough to watch. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee only managed seven Premier League goals between them. That’s nowhere near enough for a club chasing silverware.
Meanwhile, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have joined United this summer. But, neither player is a striker that Amorim wants. Kolo Muani has first-team experience in Ligue 1, Bundesliga and Serie A. He offers a natural instinct for goals. That may provide the spark needed to improve Utd’s frontline.
However, Man Utd are not the only team pursuing Kolo Muani. Chelsea and Newcastle are keeping a watch as well. That said, if the Red Devils act decisively, they have an opportunity to sign a proper attacker for a reasonable fee. Kolo Muani’s pace, strength and experience may be exactly what Old Trafford is lacking.
