Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard is attracting serious interest from top clubs including Dortmund and few PL teams.
Dortmund and Premier League Clubs Tracking Trossard
Leandro Trossard is now being closely watched by Borussia Dortmund, as per reports from Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The German side is weighing up a move for the Belgian international. In addition, two other Premier League clubs are also making firm offers. Trossard joined the Gunners from Brighton and is into the final two years of his contract. He has seen his place in Mikel Arteta’s plans start to fade.
Club legend Ian Wright has called the 30-year-old attacker an “unbelievable” player. Although, the attacker is finding it harder to get into the squad with increased competition at the club. Arsenal have already made several signings in the transfer window. That has only increased the competition within the squad.
The team is becoming deeper and stronger as a result of these signings. Given that, exits are now likely as the North London side look to make space for new players.
Arsenal Open to Sale as Forward Faces Exit
Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta is believed to be open to selling Trossard this summer. Talks to extend his contract had started positively earlier. But, following a change of agent, negotiations are on hold at the moment.
Since then, signs have pointed towards an exit being more likely than a new deal. The North London club is also chasing Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze. He plays in a similar role, adding more doubt over Trossard’s future.
Meanwhile, Arteta is starting to pivot into younger talent and long-term planning. Trossard has been a superb squad player so far. But, Arsenal are trying to reduce players on the roster and bring in fresh talent. That said, his contract may be on the line.
As things stand, the winger will likely be looking for a new club this summer.
