Man United Not Looking to Sell Kobbie Mainoo

Manchester United are not listening to offers for Kobbie Mainoo, despite interest from Tottenham.

Mainoo Staying Put At United Amid Tottenham Interest

Manchester Utd have shut the door on the possibility of letting Kobbie Mainoo leave this summer. The midfielder has drawn attention from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Spurs were hoping to lure him away after Marcus Rashford’s surprise loan move to Barcelona. However, the Red Devils see Mainoo as a long-term asset and a key part of Ruben Amorim’s future plans. He has made 37 appearances last season and has got praise from club legends like Paul Scholes. So, the youngster is seen as a player with serious potential.

As for Utd’s choice to keep him, they are likely to spend large elsewhere. This comes despite signing Matheus Cunha and with Bryan Mbeumo this summer already. Though, Kobbie is into the last 2 years of his current contract. The deal earns him £25k-a-week. Now, Mainoo is driven to prove himself.

Eyes on the Future at Old Trafford

Mainoo has showed that he’s ready to fight for a regular starting role under Amorim. The youngster played from the start in United’s recent pre-season win against West Ham in the USA tour. This is giving fans a glimpse of what he brings to the pitch.

Meanwhile, Tottenham were testing the waters. They are curious to see if Utd would entertain an offer. Nonetheless, the club was not keen to have any talks at all. The Englishman is also trying to cement a position in for the 2026 World Cup. He is hoping to get regular minutes at Old Trafford. That might hold the key.

With Rashford already gone, the club is being careful not to lose another homegrown talent. Amorim values Mainoo’s intent, and the midfielder wants to make the most of his opportunity. For now, it’s clear, Kobbie Mainoo isn’t going anywhere.
