Arsenal planning a £52m bid for Premier League playmaker

Arsenal are stepping up their pursuit of Premier League star Eberechi Eze. Reports claiming they’re readying a £52m offer for the Crystal Palace player.

Mikel Arteta & Arsenal ready to pounce on Premier League ace

Mikel Arteta’s side is looking to seal Eberechi Eze‘s move before the transfer window closes. As per journalist Steve Kay, Arsenal are prepared to make an offer of £30m upfront, plus an additional £22m over two years.

Eze has been one of the biggest names in the Premier League since he joined Crystal Palace from QPR in 2020. Last season he scored an amazing 14 goals and provided 11 assists. The threat he is, is easy to see. He also happens to be 27 and therefore in his prime. The Gunners believe he could add serious spark and flexibility to their midfield and attacking third. Palace are believed to value their star closer to £68m. However, Arsenal are not keen to stretch that far.

Trossard’s name emerges in transfer talks

In a surprising twist, The Eagles are reportedly keeping tabs on Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard. They are seeing him as a potential replacement should Eze leave. Although, there’s no formal swap deal on the table yet. However, the Belgian may still be included in the transfer talks between both clubs.

Eze’s performances have meant he has emerged as one of the most exciting players in England and the Gunners have spent close to £200m in this summer window already. They are clearly still in the market to add depth and flair. Though rumours had linked the North London club with a move for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo. But, that link appears to have gone cold due to the complex nature of any deal involving the winger.

Now, all eyes are on how Palace respond to Arsenal’s offer. Eze might become the final piece in Mikel Arteta’s summer puzzle this transfer window.
