Chelsea Faces Regulatory Probe Over Ex-Abramovich

What’s going on with Chelsea and a big investigation? More like the Dad checking if you really cleaned your room! This time, it is about money and football rules.

Regulatory Probe? What?

In actuality, what does a regulatory probe mean? Well, a detective is looking into something. The FA, the big boss of all the football clubs in England, is doing this. More specifically, the FA checks whether Chelsea, in particular, kept to the rules, especially those involving money.

The Ex-Abramovich Era: A Season of Changes

Now let me wax poetic on the “ex-Abramovich era,” which here refers to the years that Roman Abramovich held ownership over the club. Abramovich had been the owner for a long time, and whilst he remained the owner, Chelsea went on to win titles and become a big club.

The FA is just double-checking financial transactions that really took place inside Chelsea were properly done. That is, this body gets involved to ensure the respective rules of player purchase, payment of money to the players, are followed. So, it acts as a referee ensuring fair play.

Chelsea’s Reaction

So what is the club doing? Chelsea is cooperating with the regulatory probe. The club is assisting the FA by way of providing a full disclosure of all relevant information. Imagine a case where a teacher requests to see your homework, and you throw it upon Hiatt,  showing that Chelsea has nothing to hide, and everything was done right in this.

Ex-Abramovich Era Under the Regulatory Probe: What’s Next?

No one can say what will happen. What is assured is that the FA shall consider all of the evidence. Should the FA find Chelsea guilty under the REGA.N.M… regulations, then penalties could be applied. These include anything else–fines, or even the docking of points from Chelsea in a game (oh, that would be huge). But I am just speculating.

Authors Opinion

These measures purportedly keep football fair. They make sure all the clubs abide by the rules; in short, everyone is competing on a fair ground. The ex-Abramovich era had the highest returns for Chelsea, and this *regulatory investigation* will find out if that was genuine success.

Make online trends about this one! Whatever the FA finds will be worthy of watching. Remember- adults have to obey the rules, as well!
