After his £35 million transfer to Liverpool, Marc Guehi has moved on and stated his attention is on Crystal Palace. He almost moved to Liverpool during the transfer period, but the club decided to keep the star defender after the transfer replacement fiasco. Since then, the 25-year-old has not removed his attention from the outstanding performances that contribute to the success of the Eagles.

He has displayed professionalism and a team-first attitude. The Eagle community rejoiced at his contributions to the team’s success, which includes a 2-1 Premier League victory and the Community Shield, in which the Palace team also acquired a 10-penalty win, extending the team’s span of unbeaten streak to 18.
Fans of Palace will finally get a chance to see Palace’s Eagles team in European competition against Dynamo Kyiv, and in the pre-match, Guehi touched on the subject of his blocked transfer when he said, “I don’t have much to say, to be honest. Guehi communicated that it is the collective accomplishments that are celebrated as opposed to the individual trophies garnered. “I’m only considering the club’s position. I am indifferent to personal trophies. I’m content as long the team is where it is supposed to be. I have achieved some success and I am greedy for more,” he elucidated.

In spite of Liverpool monitoring him, they are unlikely to pursue a January move. With his contract with Palace ending at the end of the season, Guehi’s next destination is uncertain. Still, he has demonstrated why he is one of the most promising Centre backs in England with his dedicated, focused, and disciplined, approach. Losing their captain is a real possibility for Palace.
