Arsenal injury updates

The latest updates on three key Arsenal players recovering from injury.

Arsenal injury update

Martin Odegaard’s absence has definitely been the most annoying period for the player as well as the whole team. The captain has made regular progress in his healing. Although, Arteta has made it pretty clear that there is still some uncertainty regarding his precise return date.

One of the issues with Odegaard’s knee, has led to his being out longer than originally thought. The team has been hopeful, but the possibility of his return before the next international break seems to be ruled out.

The medical staff is very careful and considerate not to hurry up his the process. They are taking into account the role he plays in the Arsenal midfield’s flow. Full training in a few weeks is the best-case scenario, but his recovery remains vital at the moment.

Havertz and Madueke still working back

The case of Kai Havertz seems to be more worrying. Arteta confessed that the German midfielder still has a plenty of time to cover in his recovery. But, his behavior has won over the entire team. Havertz has been very hard on himself, but the club is not taking any risks. They are planning his return to after the November international break.

On the other hand, Noni Madueke is still undergoing treatment for his knee injury. He is getting better but at a slow pace and still there is no actual date of his return. So far, the North London side have to cope with the missing players during a very key period of games.

Author’s Opinion:

Arteta’s caution makes sense. There are plenty of key matches to come, and by bringing back important players too soon, the risk is huge. The depth of Arsenal will be put to the test. Their handling of it might be the decisive factor for their entire season.
