Arsenal have been heavily linked with a summer move for Chelsea attacker. They are now reported to be advancing on personal terms with the player. The player has so far registered 27 goal involvements for the Blues.
The star in question here is Noni Madueke. Chelsea signed Madueke in January 2023. He is 23 years old and able to play on both wings. Madueke has been good for the Blues on multiple occasions. But, he has not been able to stay consistent.
Maresca started his career at West London with Madueke as his first choice winger. The 23 year old had a superb start to the 2024/25 season. But, he was unable to stay consistent and his form dipped. As a result, he fell down the pecking order due to high competition at Chelsea.
Chelsea have now signed some more wingers. They have announced the signing of Jamie Gittens. Hence, Madueke will now fall further behind in the pecking order. He will not be able to play regularly and can force for a move away. In addition, the Blues need to raise funds for PSR and hence will sell him.
Arsenal advancing in their pursuit of Madueke
Arsenal are in need of some new wingers this summer. They were keen to sign Nico Williams but he has opted to stay at Athletic Club. Hence, they have now shifted their attention to other options. One amongst their targets is Madueke due to his versatality.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Gunners are now advancing in their pursuit of Noni Madueke. They are planning to reach and agreement on personal terms with the 23 year old. The player is open for the move but is currently focused on CWC and has not yet asked Chelsea about selling him. Lastly, Romano said that nothing has yet been agreed between the clubs.
