Arsenal preparing for Gabriel Jesus exit

Arsenal ready to cut ties with Gabriel Jesus after an underwhelming spell in North London.

A big call on a Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal

When Gabriel Jesus came from Manchester City in 2022, fans of Arsenal had finally found the striker to propel them back to PL success. He had the medal collection, the experience, and even the connection to Mikel Arteta through their City days.

However, that has not went exactly as expected. Jesus was derailed by injury, and when fit, he looked like the deadly finisher Arsenal required. The stats back up the story of hard work that did not happen consistently.

The club and head coach made a decision this summer by bringing in Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. Even with Jesus recovering from an ACL injury, he’s no longer the go-to man up front.

As per reports, Arsenal have now put a £30m price tag on the Brazilian. That is a £15m loss on what they paid Man City three years ago. That’s a big statement from a club that once built its attack around him.

Everton could offer a way out

Everton have reportedly been alerted to Jesus’s availability. Toffees’ boss David Moyes is in need of a proven striker. On paper, Jesus fits the bill. He is experienced, technical, and with a point to prove. But, wages could be a stumbling block.

Reportedly, Arsenal are open to selling in January. The move might suit all parties if Everton can find the right financial balance.

Although, Jesus still has a contract until 2027. But it feels like both player and club are ready for a fresh chapter. For Arsenal, it’s about moving forward with a new front line. For Jesus, it might be the restart his career desperately needs.

Author’s Opinion:

Gabriel Jesus’s Arsenal story feels like one that never fully took off. He made the effort but couldn’t make a huge impact. A move away could be the best thing he needs to regain his top form.
