Gunners’ head coach is now looking to bring in another top defender in North London. The scouting team will reportedly keep a close watch on Singo in Galatasaray’s next European fixtures.

January move on the cards

As per Turkish news source Sabah, Arsenal may make a move for Galatasaray as soon as the January transfer market opens. Singo, who was signed from Monaco for €30.8m last summer. He has rapidly become a key player for the champions of Turkey. In addition, he can play at right-back and at central defender positions as well. That said, Arteta sees this as a great asset that can really help him in his tactical system.

The Gunners would require to put in a decent offer to tempt Galatasaray to start talks. This comes as the buy-out clause in his contract is set at €60m. Yet, the increasing interest of Arsenal for the Ivorian is a sign of their ambition. Now, the North London side will move on with their goal to battle for the PL title.

Author’s opinion:

The rise of Singo has been getting plenty of attention. He has got everything what Arsenal are looking for at the moment. The PL club will likely initiate a move in January transfer window. If the move goes through, it can be one of their smartest investments for the future.
