Arsenal wanted to sign Spanish star this summer but are likely to lose him. Hence, they have shifted their attention to Chelsea star. The player registered 15 goal involvements in the recent season for the Blues.
Arsenal are keen to add more attacking stars to their squad. They are willing to sign a new striker and a winger. Gunners are focused on left winger but want him to play on right when needed. They had Nico Williams as the top target.
Gunners tried to sign Williams last summer but failed to do so. But, they kep trying and were interested again this summer. But, they are set to miss out on him once again. Williams is closer to join Barcelona and has made them his preference.
Arsenal shift their attention to Chelsea winger
According to Caught Offside, Gunners are now planning to sign Noni Madueke instead. He is 23 year old English winger who can play on both wings. Madueke ended the 2024/25 season with 11 goals and 4 assists for the Blues.
Chelsea have not yet made clear that they will sell Madueke. But, the 23 year old is surely not untouchable. In addition, he is not a key player for long term plans under Maresca. Hence, a right offer will surely end Madueke’s career at Stamford Bridge.
As of now, the Blues have placed €60-65 million as asking price for Madueke. But, the report suggests that €50 million will be enough to sign him. Arsenal can make a move for him very soon as his versatality can be a key asset for them.
Gunners are joined by Newcastle United in the race for Madueke. Eddie Howe is keen to add more attacking players and the UCL qualification has allowed the Magpies to spend more freely. Hence, Madueke’s exit from Chelsea is starting to get more likely this summer.
