Bayern Eye Luis Diaz to Bolster Left Wing
Bayern Munich have entered the race for Liverpool winger Luis Diaz. They are now looking to improve their attack for the new season. The club is looking to sign a top left winger and Diaz is becoming a serious target.
The Bundesliga side have not opened talks with the Reds yet. But, they have put the winger on their shortlist. Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg has shared that there is a chance Liverpool would be willing to let Diaz go if the right offer comes in this summer.
The English club is reportedly open to listening to bids, especially after a season in which Diaz’s stock rose significantly. The 27-year-old attacker has also been tracked closely by Barcelona. He had a brilliant 2024–25 season to help Arne Slot’s side lift their 20th English league title.
Barcelona has competition for the in-form Colombian winger
Barcelona have been monitoring Diaz for quite some time. Nonetheless, with Bayern now apparently showing interest, the fight for the Colombian is on.
Diaz was a key player for Liverpool. He played 50 games and bagging in 17 goals and 8 assists across all competitions. He has pace, flair and great work rate making him one of the most exciting wingers in Europe.
Although, the Vincent Kompany side are close to signing Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart. But, reports suggests that Bayern still want Diaz to increase depth, quality, and options in their offensive frontline.
Liverpool has not yet received a formal offer. So, Bayern and Barca need to act soon if they want to secure the winger. Both the European giants are looking to pounce on the striker. The summer window is going to be another exciting fight for one of Liverpool’s best performers last year.
