Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are keeping an eye on Arsenal winger.
Dortmund Want Arsenal Star Trossard
Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard is well on the radar of Borussia Dortmund, as per reports from Germany.
The Belgian attacker has recently fell down the pecking order at the North London side. He only has two years remaining on his contract at Emirates. Others are joining the squad, so the future of Trossard at Arsenal is uncertain.
The Gunners have made plenty of signings this summer window so far. Their focus has now shifted toward selling players who may no longer be in Mikel Arteta’s future plans. That includes Trossard, whose less playing game time has created doubts over his stay at the club.
Dortmund are not the only club watching him closely. Two PL teams have made firm inquiries as well.
Arteta Plans Rebuild While Winger Faces Uncertain Future
Trossard had previously held talks with the club regarding a new deal. Although, those discussions reportedly fell apart after a change in his agent. That said, it has made a move away from north London more likely for the winger.
Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Crystal Palace talent Eberechi Eze, another player in a similar attacking role. Emerging talent Ethan Nwaneri is also reportedly to be given more playing time. So, competition is growing for spots in the Arsenal attack making it a harder mountain for the Belgian to climb.
If a good offer comes through, from abroad or within the PL, the club is open to letting him go.
For Leandro Trossard, a move might offer the chance to return to regular starting football. He can regain his top form he once had. Meanwhile, Arsenal reshuffle their squad for another title push. That said, some big names might just be on their way out.
