Chelsea keep tabs on rising French right-back

Chelsea have been keeping a close eye on French young right-back lighting up Ligue 1.

French right-back on Chelsea radar

Guela Doue is most certainly the one name that will be mentioned most when talking about French football. The 23-year-old left back of Strasbourg is a player that has won the critics over by his wonderful mix of defending and attacking qualities. He has scored one and assisted two times in five matches that he has played this season. Thus, showing his efficiency in front of the goals for his team.

His top-class displays have brought him to the forefront This has got the English PL clubs’ interested in him.

As per reports, Chelsea is rising above all to sign him. It is said that the team from West London has been monitoring the player. In addition, the Blues even sent their scouts to watch him live as he played against PSG.

Doue showed his stress-free, quick, and precise tackling under pressure. His talent to fight with top-class players is not going under the radar. It is certain that he has a spot on the list of players Chelsea are considering.

Competition and a tricky transfer path

It looks like Chelsea really want the player but not the only club that love him. Aston Villa, Brighton and Brentford have been linked with the player too. On the other side, Strasbourg has put up the signs and made their stance clear.

Dou is tied down until 2029, and they won’t entertain offers below €30m. That puts any January move in complicated place. That is especially with the French club in no rush to sell.

Author’s Opinion:

Doue appears to be the typical player for Chelsea to sign at an early stage. If he keeps to perform at this level, a move to PL is just a matter of time.
