Chelsea make shock €40 million offer for in-form Real Madrid star

Chelsea have made shock offer to sign Real Madrid star. The player is very young and has been in superb form recently. He has played major role in helping Los Blancos to reach Club World Cup quarter-finals.

Chelsea have signed Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. The 22 year old costed them only £30 million due to Tractor Boys getting relegated. Later, they opted to sign another striker with different profile. As a result, the Blues signed Joao Pedro from Brighton.

The West London giants have splashed £60 million for Pedro. As per the latest reports, they have agreed a deal for Jamie Gittens with Dortmund. The 20 year old will cost them another £55 million. But, the Blues are not done just yet.

Chelsea offer €40 million for Real Madrid youngster

The Blues are keen to sign some more attackers. According to Fichajes, they have identified Real Madrid star as their next signing. The report states that Chelsea have offered €40 million to sign Gonzalo Garcia who has been superb in the Club World Cup.

The reports add that Madrid has not made any decision about Garcia. They do have many attackers due to which the 21 year old can be benched for most of the time. Hence, they can opt to sell him as there are some more positions that need filling. As of now, they want a new left-back, centre-back and holding midfielder.

This will come as a shock news for all the Chelsea fans. They already have 4 players – Pedro, Delap, Jackson and Guiu in the number nine position right now. Hence signing Garcia does not make any sense. But, the Blues have always been open to maintain high squad depth of young stars since thier takeover.

How good has Gonzalo Garcia been in CWC?

Gonzalo Garcia has been main man for Real Madrid so far in CWC. Due to Kylian Mbappe’s illness, he has started all 4 games as striker. In those, the 21 year old has played 293 minutes in which he has scored 3 goals and picked 1 assist. His latest goal was the only goal against Juventus which helped Madrid to reach quarter final of CWC.
