Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison is looking forward to a second loan spell at Everton.

The 27 year old winger has been at Everton last season. He has already played under the Everton manager Sean Dyche and has impressed him quite well. But his statistics might mislead many people. In 35 matches, he managed to only score 4 goals and provided 3 assists which is not that much commendable. Many analysts have claimed that Harrison is very good at crossing the ball and is a good set piece taker. However, he is not that good when it comes to passing and holding of the ball and aerial duels which makes the difference.

Everton and their transfer updates

Sean Dyche and Everton are getting ready for the summer transfer window. The team needed a winger and thought loaning Jack Harrison from Leeds United again would be beneficial. Even though Harrison does not have much impressive statistics at Everton, he has somehow impressed the Everton manager. He believes that Harrison could help the team in his own way now that he understands how his team plays after the 23/24 season.

Everton are also planning on improving their striker. With the loss of Richarlison and a bad form of Dominic Calvert-Lewin throughout the previous season, the Toffees believes that they need to improve their strikers to generate goals. Right now, Everton have a keen eye on Marseille’s striker Iliman Ndiaye. The 24 year old striker from Senegal played for Marseille in the previous season where in 19 matches he scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists which aren’t that much impressive.

The Toffees are also planning on buying Newcastle United’s youngster Yankuba Minteh. According to football journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Minteh’s first priority is to play for Everton. He believes he would get good game time under Sean Dyche at Everton. Yankuba Minteh has spent a long time at Newcastle without getting any chance of playing. He was sent on a loan to Dutch club Feyenoord and played under the newly appointed Liverpool manager, Arne Slot. At Feyenoord, in 31 games, he scored 11 goals and provided 5 assists.

How are Everton preparing for next season?

Even though their points got deducted, Everton managed to finish 15th in the league table. The Toffees are trying to be serious this season with their performance and transfers. They want to compete with other teams fairly and finish in the top half of the table. They will be facing Brighton in their opening game. This will be an evenly fought match between the two teams. But before they start their league campaign, they would face Salford City, Coventry and Preston in their pre-season. Sean Dyche will be observing every player in this pre-season and later decide on a starting 11 against Brighton.
