Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze is ready to commit to Arsenal if given the green light. Additionally, the personal terms are already in place.
Arteta’s Eyes Set Firmly on Palace Star
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is said to be completely keen on signing Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze, as per Hand of Arsenal.
The Gunners have already been very active in the summer transfer window. They are reportedly finalising a move for striker Viktor Gyokeres as well. But, the focus is now shifting to Eze. He is seen as a major attacking boost. Arteta has even personally informed the board of his strong desire to sign the Englishman.
Talks with the player’s camp have gone smoothly. Eze would likely accept a five-year contract if a deal is agreed. The player has a £68m release clause in his contract. That means Arsenal can seal the transfer at any point by activating it. Although, the club needs to make room in the squad first.
Eze Chooses Arsenal
Clubs such as Chelsea and Bayern Munich are tracking Eze’s movements. But, it is obvious that Eze wants to play in red and white for the Gunners. His pace, skill and game changing ability would give an added dimension in midfield and attacking play going forward.
There are informal talks that have already taken place between Arsenal and Crystal Palace. However, doing the deal will hinge on making some player exits as well. The North London side will want to manage their finances in a smart way.
Gyokeres is likely to come first before Eze. The club will a fresh squad that is ready to fight for the league title next season. Eze is showing his desire to wear the red and white shirt. So, it is time for the Gunners to cut out the talk and get the deal done.
