Football pundit tips Arsenal to clinch the UCL title

Football Pundit believes Arsenal now has the steel and structure to go all the way in UCL.

A statement win fuels belief

Arsenal’s resounding victory over Atletico Madrid by a score of 4–0 impressed Europe. But, it also gave a strong message to the remaining teams in the UCL. The players were quick, strong, and even brutal throughout the game.

The match saw plenty of goals from Arsenal. But, the Gunners confidence and management of the team was what stood out and impressed even more. After losing in the semi-final of last season, their group stage display has already led the Gunners to be seen as serious challengers.

Many can feel that the disappointment of previous times is slowly shaping a top team. The club looks more stable and capable in dealing with the pressure of big nights in Europe.

Football pundit sees shades of 2005 Liverpool in Arsenal

As per Metro Sport, ex-England and Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher praised Arsenal’s discipline and organization. He called them the key things to success in Europe. He made a comparison between present day Arsenal players and Liverpool team that won the UCL in 2005. Not the showy football but the united and powerful style of playing was the reason for this.

The former Reds defender pointed out that the North London side has grown to be more resilient. That is, even in difficult situations they now show the confidence of winning. He considers that combination of solid defense and easy-going attack gives Arsenal a plus over others who are after the same dream.

Author’s Opinion:

Arsenal have finally come to the point where they are able to combine their style with toughness. The confidence of Jamie Carragher is not in vain, this squad has the desire, harmony, and confidence to reach the limit. If they manage to keep it up, the long wait for the UCL title may come to an end this very campaign.
