Gabriel Jesus Could Leave Arsenal

Arsenal are ready to accept offers for striker Gabriel Jesus after Viktor Gyokeres’ arrival.

Jesus slides down the pecking order at Arsenal

Arsenal’s summer business is turning heads this time. Head coach Mikel Arteta is pulling off a string of high-profile signings to add firepower and depth to his squad.

They fell just short in both the EPL title race and the UCL last season. Now, the Gunners knew new arrivals are a must. The singing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting has now shaken up the attacking order at the Emirates. This shift leaves Gabriel Jesus facing an uncertain role at the club.

The Brazilian forward was previously regarded as a key of Arteta’s plans. However, he is now viewed as the third-choice striker. The new season is on the horizon and additional signings potentially yet to be completed. Given that, Arsenal will be in a position to consider offers for Jesus if the right one arrives.

Club receptive to a sale if right player is received

Mick Brown, a former chief scout, had a successful recruitment background as a top-level scout. He is well versed with Arsenal’s transfer dealings. As per Brown, the club would be willing to cash in on the forward. Though Jesus has had his share of standout performances in an Arsenal shirt. But, injury setbacks throughout last season and poor form have caused his place in the number nine role.

With a big year ahead in international football, Jesus might see more minutes elsewhere. A move could work out for all parties involved. Clubs in need of attacking quality might be willing to make a loan offer that helps cover his wages. That route could offer the North London side a chance to free up space and funds.

Now, Gyokeres is set to lead the line next season. Additionally, more attackers are waiting in the wings. So, Jesus might need to pack his bags if he wants to make into the Brazil’s World Cup squad. That said, a transfer now looks more likely than ever.
