According to various sources it is being said that 43-goal red hot striker Viktor Gykores is linked with Arsenal move. In this season he has attracted a lot of offers from all across Europe.

Who is Viktor Gykores?

Viktor Gykores is a Swedish striker who started his senior career for Swedish side Brommapojkarna. He made fifty appearances for the Swedish team. In 2019 Brighton and Hove Albion bought him for €30m. There he gained experience and became a top professional player. After four years he signed for Sporting CP. He scored 43 goals for the Portuguese giants out of 50 appearances. This stats has certainly attracted a lot of interests from all over the Europe. Arsenal are among those clubs who want to secure the service of Viktor Gykores.

Possibility of the transfer

According to a news outlet, it is being said that the Swedish striker is on list of Arsenal’s transfer plan. The gunners have discussed with Sporting CP about the player’s transfer fee. Sporting CP signed him for just €21m. But now his transfer fees will be higher than the previous one. In a transfer market where talented strikers like Jonathan David is valued at €50m, Viktor will cost the gunners a lot of money. According to various sources, his transfer value will be approximately €90m plus add ons where Sporting CP can also go as high as €120m.

Although the renowned Portuguese media sources haven’t given any insights about this Gykores-Arsenal link, then also everyone know that Gunners are in search of a proper number nine. This deal will not be a piece of cake for Arsenal because there are multiple clubs who are interested to sign the player. Clubs like Manchester United and Manchester City are also in the race to sign this elite striker. On top of that, it is being said that Viktor want to renew his contract with Sporting CP because he is enjoying his goal scoring form at the current club.

Viktor’s reaction to the Arsenal transfer speculations

In an interview, when he was asked about these transfer links, he said, “It’s a sign that I’ve performed well. But it’s not something I take too seriously, since it’s just speculation. But of course it’s fun. We’ll see this summer. It’s not something I know about myself, what will happen. I enjoy Sporting extremely well and feel no stress about the summer coming quickly.”

From this interview it is clear that he wants to focus on his game.
