Jack Wilshere hails Ethan Nwaneri for his rapid rise at Arsenal

Jack Wilshere has praised Arsenal’s teenage talent Ethan Nwaneri, saying the youngster has hit a new gear this season. This comes even with limited minutes under Mikel Arteta.

Jack Wilshere backs Ethan Nwaneri

Jack Wilshere is aware of how difficult it is to progress through the young Arsenal ranks. He sees something in young Ethan. The rising star, just 18 years old, had a great introduction to the PL last season by featuring in 26 games and scoring four goals. But, Nwaneri has shown everyone something new this year while playing fewer minutes.

In the summer, the player signed a long-term contract. He was challenged for playing time by Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke. Speaking to talkSPORT, Wilshere said that he thinks Nwaneri has developed without issue. This is because he is good on the ball, good at quick decision-making, and calm in midfield.

For his part, Wilshere is currently working with youth at Arsenal. He thinks he has seen improvement in the boy’s game understanding and mentality. For a player this season who has played a total of 130 minutes, he has left that large of an impression on everybody.

His understanding of the manager’s system have made him one of the most promising names at the club.

Patience, potential, and a bright future ahead

The return of Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka, plus Eze’s strong start, means Nwaneri will need to wait for his moment. But if history is any clue, Arsenal’s system rewards talent that stays ready. Arteta has already suggested that both Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly will get their opportunity when the time is right.

Wilshere’s faith in Nwaneri is not just about potential, it’s about hard work and attitude. The young player has the willingness to take an opportunity when given.

What this really means is Arsenal have a gem who’s already showing signs of being something special. If he keeps his head down and his game sharp, his time will come sooner than later.

Author’s Opinion:

Wilshere’s praise isn’t just coach talk. Nwaneri has the ability and mentality to make it big at Arsenal.
