Nicolas Jackson is pushing for a permanent exit from Chelsea. He is frustrated by his situation under Enzo Maresca.
Jackson set for Chelsea exit in 2026
Nicolas Jackson’s time at Chelsea looks to be over before it even had a chance to restart. He is currently on loan at Bayern. He has made it clear through his agent that he will not be playing for the Blues again. The issues lies in his poor bond with Enzo Maresca, which has reportedly turned sour.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Jackson’s agent was asked if the player will return to Chelsea, he said: “Absolutely not. Absolutely not.
“Today at Chelsea, the relationship with [Enzo] Maresca isn’t necessarily the best.”
Jackson had already voiced his frustrations before moving to Germany. Now, his stance has only hardened. Chelsea’s decision to sign two new strikers in the summer left him on the edge. That said, instead of fighting for his place, he sees his future elsewhere. His agent was blunt, insisting there is no way back for the forward.
What’s next for the striker
For Bayern, this loan spell is a test run. Jackson needs to show that he can perform in the Bundesliga. He has to form a working partnership with Harry Kane. The Englishman is the main man up front for Bayern. That means Jackson must impress in training and grab his chances when they come.
The Bavarians don’t have a buy option in the deal. But, if the striker hits form, the German giants may still come calling with a permanent offer. Meanwhile, Chelsea are unlikely to stand in his way. The club would prefer to cash in and recover part of their investment. That is especially since Jackson no longer fits into Maresca’s long-term plans.
For the striker, regular minutes in Munich could be the key to getting his career back on track.
Author’s Opinion:
Jackson has the talent to succeed, but the Chelsea chapter seems closed for good. A strong run at Bayern could give him the fresh start he needs. That might even open doors elsewhere in Europe.
