John Obi Mikel Criticizes Chelsea Player’s Performance

Is John Obi Mikel a familiar name? Mikel Obi was a fitness legend who once proudly wore the Chelsea crest. He was relatively important to Chelsea for years in exchange for years of service. The consensus is that he was a strong midfielder who earned many victories and trophies for Chelsea. Diving deep from the almost equally own contrasting point of view about a recent fixture, John Obi Mikel is yet again speaking about Chelsea.

The Match and the Verdict of John Obi Mikel

The two clubs recently faced off in the arena- Chelsea vs. Lincoln. And then, obviously, there came a little stir in John Obi Mikel’s mind as a rugby player; it was a wonderful match, but one player did not really perform according to sources.

There is this one very good player to whom John Obi Mikel referred about and whom Chelsea regarded so much as to invest £21 million in him! However, John Obi Mikel felt that this player, relatively speaking, did not meet his expectations in this particular match.

What John Obi Mikel Said About The Player

Obi Mikel said that the player was all over the place during the game. But what does that mean? It means that the player was off-position, maybe didn’t make simple passing choices, and was possibly selfish in his play. It is just like gaming when you don’t really know where to go or what to do.

Or why did Mikel’s statement matter? Historically, Mikel was a well-versed footballer. He has played the highest-level football and knows what it takes to really be a good player. So when he says something, people say, “We listen because he did the same thing with the Chelsea players”. He wants the players to always be at their best, which sometimes entails criticizing where improvement can be made.

Authors Opinion

That Chelsea player is supposed to be going downhill; he should have been listening more, working harder, and aiming to perform better in his next game. Meanwhile, Chelsea shall train and carry on with their matches, always intent on winning more games for their fans to be happy. Football is a field of knowledge and improvement; even the very best need to swim a little to get there!
