Dani Olmo can be the perfect player for Slot to have in his team. The 26 years old Spaniard is one of the versatile players in the world right now. Olmo has spent 7 years in La Masia in his youth career. He burst onto the scene when he joined Dinamo Zagreb and later, in 2020, joined German club RB Leipzig. In his 4 years with Leipzig, he won trophies including DFL Supercup and DFB Pokal. With his national side, he won UEFA Nations League and silver medal in the Olympics with the U-23 team.
He is a versatile player who can play in either of the wingers or a striker. He has incredible control and confidence on his ball control. His profile is very much similar to Liverpool and Portuguese striker, Diogo Jota. An opportunist who is hungry to score and create goals. He can also be considered a good replacement for the Egyptian king, Mo Salah.
In the end, the board will decide if they want to pursue Olmo through his performances in this year’s Euro. If the Reds do want to sign him, then they must hurry up as big clubs are in the line after them.
