Arsenal to ‘Exchange Documents’ for Major Signing Today Ahead of Medical. The Gunners are closing in on a key target with the formal process now in full swing.
Madueke To Arsenal Transfer Nears Completion
Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Noni Madueke today. All the necessary documents are scheduled to be exchanged with Chelsea, as per Fabrizio Romano.
The winger is likely to undergo a medical shortly after the paperwork is done. The North London club has agreed on a deal worth ÂŁ52m for the winger. He has already accepted a five-year contract. Mikel Arteta marked Madueke as a priority signing earlier this summer. He is aiming to add more firepower to his wide attacking options.
Madueke’s will be Gunners’ fourth signing of the window. This is their first offensive signing to come in this summer. He will be the fifth Chelsea player to make the switch across London in recent years. He will be following the likes of Kai Havertz and Jorginho.
Busy Summer Continues at the Emirates
Madueke played his 92nd game for Chelsea at the Club World Cup. The winger will carry out his transfer shortly after the conclusion of the tournament. He came on as a sub in the 2-0 semi-final win over Fluminense. He is with the squad currently for their final against PSG.
Arsenal’s moves in the transfer market doesn’t stop with Madueke. The Gunners are now actively pursuing more names. Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze and Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres are both high on their list. In particular, Gyokeres wants to join Arsenal instead of Manchester United this window.
Arteta wants to add more depth in the team. The Gunners are preparing for a serious title challenge next season. Madueke’s arrival could just be the beginning of another big summer at the Emirates.
