Madueke was thriving for Arsenal against Forest

Noni Madueke showed why Arsenal took a gamble on him, after his dazzling performance as the Gunners rolled past Nottingham Forest.

Madueke ran the show for Arsenal against Forest

Arsenal’s 3-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest was a statement that their title charge is alive and kicking. Martin Zubimendi’s strike had fans on their feet, and Viktor Gyokeres doubled the lead with a sharp finish from Eberechi Eze’s cross.

Zubimendi then added a header to round off the afternoon. But, while the score spoke volumes, it was Madueke who lit up the Emirates. He showed his direct play and energy on the flanks.

Madueke ended his game with 63 touches, five key passes and four successful dribbles. One corner even resulted in Zubimendi’s second goal. His influence was all over Arsenal’s attacking rhythm.

Convincing the doubters wrong

When Arsenal signed Madueke from Chelsea, plenty of fans were skeptical. A petition even circulated to block the deal, questioning whether he was worth the move. Fast forward a few games, and he’s showing why head coach Mikel Arteta trusted him.

Originally lined up as cover for Bukayo Saka, Madueke has now started three straight league matches. He looks every bit the player Gunners hoped for. His fearless style is opening up space for teammates like Eze and Gyokeres. That makes him priceless in Arteta’s system.

Zubimendi may have grabbed the headlines with his brace, but Madueke’s display proved he’s more than just backup. If Saka takes time to regain sharpness after injury, Arsenal already have a winger who can shoulder the responsibility. For a signing that many doubted, Madueke is showing his class. He might just turn out to be one of the smartest pieces of business Arsenal pulled off this summer.

Author’s Opinion:

Although Madueke didn’t need a goal to justify his talent, he gave an incredible performances. He looks ready to be more than just the backup to Saka. That could prove to be the difference in Arsenal’s title challenge.
