Man City take ‘next step’ in pursuit of Real Madrid ace

Man City have taken next step in the pursuit of Real Madrid ace. They are willing to land him in the summer transfer window in order to take their attacking unit to the next level.

City are planning for a busy summer where many of their current stars are set to leave. Amongst the players linked with exit, there are Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva. In addition, Savinho has failed to impress which suggests that a new winger will be top priority of the club.

City are heavily linked with a move for Madrid winger Rodrygo. The Brazilian is 24 years old and has been a crucial player for the Spanish giants. However, he is being used as right winger by Carlo Ancelotti which is not his best position.

Rodrygo has often being linked with a move away from Madrid. The player has always made it clear that he is happy at Spanish capital. However, his stance has not kept top clubs from keeping a close tab on his availability.

Man City working hard to convince Rodrygo

According to Eduardo Inda, Man City have held talks with Rodrygo’s father. The player’s camp and his father have denied the reports but the sources say that talks did happen two or three weeks ago. City offered proposal to convince the Brazilian to join them.

As per the proposal from City, they are willing to offer pay-rise to Rodrygo. In addition, the Brazilian will be guaranteed a spot on the left wing. The Sky Blues hope that this will help them to convince the player to join them.

The final decision will come down to the player. As of now, Rodrygo is regular starter for Ancelotti and playing a huge role for Madrid. He has 14 goals along with 8 assists this season and will like to continue this form to lead his club to major titles.
