Man United have added another Nigerian striker to summer wishlist. The player was very good in the 2024/25 season. He was able to register 28 goal contributions.
Manchester United are desperate to sign a new strike this summer. They were able to score only 44 goals in Premier League last season. As a result, they ended the season on 15th position. United are said to part ways with both Hojlund and Zirkzee. They want a clinical striker instead.
The Red Devils wanted to sign Liam Delap but failed to do so. The 22 year old joined Chelsea for £30 million. United have now shifted their attention to Gyokeres. But, the Sweden international is said to prefer Arsenal instead. Lastly, thay also have Osimhen on radar but United are unable to match his wage demands.
Man United add 28 G/A striker to their wishlist
The star in question here is Toluwalase Arokodare. He is 24 year old Nigerian striker who plays for Genk. In the 2024/25 season, he played 45 games for the Belgian club. Arokodare was able to score 23 goals and pick 5 assists. This has attracted interest from some top clubs.
According to United In Focus, the Red Devils have added Arokodare to their summer wishlist. They view him as a rotational forward who can be a long term investment. The player is not a big name like other strikers linked with the club. But, he will surely be a great backup.
Genk will be unable to reject offers from top club like United. Arokodare will also find it tempting to join one of the biggest clubs in world football. The Red Devils were having some financial problems. But, it seems that they have made progress in the situation. Hence, it will not be a problem for them to afford Arokodare.
