Man Utd planning key exits for Amorim

Premier League 2025-2026

Ruben Amorim and Man Utd are busy sorting out four vital exits to give new boss the freedom he needs in the transfer market.

Man Utd now focused on making summer exits for Amorim

Manchester United’s summer has not only been about landing new signings but also about trimming the squad. Alejandro Garnacho appears likely to be the first big name departing. Chelsea are looking to be pushing hard for him. The Argentine winger has already agreed on personal terms and sees the Blues as his only destination.

The Red Devils expect that deal to bring in fresh cash that will directly fund their summer moves. Antony’s story is also gathering pace, with Real Betis still dreaming of his return. The Brazilian winger would prefer to stay in Europe to stay sharp for next year’s World Cup. Although, money will be the deciding factor. Talks are ongoing and patience will be required to see where that one lands.

Sancho and Hojlund facing uncertain futures

The Jadon Sancho saga is another one Man Utd are desperate to resolve. Roma thought they had him lined up, with a package worth around £20m on the table. The club were ready to greenlight the move, but Sancho himself blocked it. He turned down Roma’s proposal, leaving United still paying a heavy wage bill and with no clear solution yet.

On the other hand, Rasmus Hojlund has being left out of the squad against Arsenal. So, the message is loud and clear. Napoli are now circling following Lukaku’s injury, and talks are in action over a loan. For United, moving him out is inevitable. Amorim will need those exits to reshape the team as per his needs.

Author’s Opinion

Clearing out big names is never easy, but it feels like a must for United if Amorim is to succeed. The club’s summer might be judged as much on exits as on arrivals.
