Marcus Rashford in Barcelona: A Lesson in Respect

Marcus Rashford had been traveling to some unknown destination recently. Somewhere questionable to go, and Marcus might have gone and broken the rules! The rule is not really a footballing one, but something else. It is a rule of the famous football club of Barcelona. The rule says you should never do certain things while in their city.

The Little Oopsie of Marcus Rashford!

Well, it is not some complicated little secret that no one has ever heard of. It is a human thing: respect, manners, and witchiness. Barcelona is a gorgeous city with a beautiful history that expects nothing but respect from everybody. The rule exists to make sure everyone has a wonderful time there and that peace remains intact.

Did Rashford Break Them?

What exactly happened? Only the true party of the incident knows? Rashford appeared to have set aside the occasion to miss the sweeping point of it: some wrongdoing or bad behavior, in the Langar context. Did he possibly act too upfront and loud without considering the local culture? We are in the dark as to what precisely transpired. But certainly, it went down like forgetting to say “please” or “thank you” by accident.

How Did Marcus Rashford React?

And that is the nice part. Instead of giving rise to some negative, unfortunate events or generally dismissing them, Rashford reacted in the way that one would hope any competent person would. He never got angry, nor did he apologize; rather, he expressed an inkling that he might have been at fault and proceeded to learn from it, probably taking time to reflect on the whole thing and implement some behavioral changes. Is that en route? This would mean that he was indeed a true sportsman both on the pitch and in real life.

Authors Opinion

This incident goes to show that even soccer superstars can make mistakes. The point, rather, is how they amend their errors. Marcus Rashford is the right role model for the children. The real test is how you come to terms with your shortcomings and evolve from them, just like Marcus Rashford!
