Marcus Rashford Transfer Talks Heat Up

Marcus Rashford is becoming more likely to leave Old Trafford at the end of this season.

Barcelona Lead Race as Marcus Rashford Eyes Dream Move

After mixed form with Manchester United, Rashford has rediscovered some of his form while on loan to Aston Villa. The forward grabbed four goals and six assists in 17 appearances so far. He has particularly impressed in the Champions League nights.

Additionally, Villa have decided against triggering their £40 million buy option. Fresh reports claim that the England international is holding advanced discussions over a summer move away from Old Trafford. However, he is focused on Barcelona and has already begun talks to agree personal terms.

There is no secret to Marcus’ desire to wear the Barca shirt. Reportedly, he is keen to join the Camp Nou. With super-agent Pini Zahavi involved and coach Hansi Flick also showing interest, the Catalans are serious about sealing the deal.

Utd Set Bargain Price Tag

Despite Rashford being a homegrown star, Manchester United seem ready to cut ties. Ruben Amorim has made it clear the 27-year-old doesn’t fit into his plans. Also, the club wants to boost their summer transfer budget. Although, they could’ve earned £40 million from Villa. But, they are now open to letting Rashford go for just £30 million (€35m). That is the price Barcelona could meet once they make room on their wage bill.

Reports suggest the Spanish giants are working on outgoing transfers to free up cash. Barca are reportedly willing to go as high as £34 million. But, they may not even need to spend that much if talks fall in their favour.

However, some members of the Manchester United board are willing to consider a return. So, Amorim’s firm stance makes a comeback unlikely. If the forward rediscovers his top form, the Catalan club might just land one of the bargains of the summer.
